Design Objective

This one was a true diamond in the rough — and getting it there required every bit of creativity we had.

Condominium regulations meant we couldn't move much in the way of plumbing or walls. But constraints have a way of sparking the best solutions. Working within those boundaries, we completely reimagined how this home could function — and what it could feel like. A bedroom became a den, opening up the flow of the space. The hall bathroom was converted into a laundry room, which in turn allowed us to carve out a much larger, truly functional chef's pantry off the kitchen. Every square foot was reconsidered with purpose.

Our 6'8" owner had one non-negotiable: those soaring ceilings had to stay. So rather than drop them, we leaned in — using perimeter soffit lighting to add warmth and dimension while keeping the full volume of the space intact. The result is a home that feels expansive, considered, and completely custom despite never touching a load-bearing wall.

What you're looking at now is an ocean-facing retreat that bears almost no resemblance to what it once was. That's the power of thoughtful design — and a team willing to dig for the jewel that was always hiding inside.

Marinette Residence

New Construction “Modern Farmhouse” in the Palisades for a family of four. Balanced chic and contemporary -with family friendly - for an upscale home in one of Los Angeles’ premier neighborhoods. This particular project was one of my favorite, as I would 100% live with this furniture and decor myself. The client was a lawyer by day, but definitely a designer at heart ! Scope included garage storage system (with electric lift), custom media room seating, and smart home window shading. I even unpacked their personal affects when the moved so it was a true Concierge experience.

Ocean Ave Residence

A few “before” photos show how drastic a make over this one needed!! It was a jewel hidden in the rough. Condominium regulations prevented moving much in the way of plumbing and walls - but didn’t prevent us from turning this into beautiful ocean facing home. We removed on bedroom (now a den), and put the laundry room where the hall bathroom was previously (allowing for a much larger chef’s pantry in the kitchen. The 6’8” owner asked that the high ceilings be preserved, so perimeter lighting using soffits provided additional lighting.

Chautauqua Residence
Update and furnish a “Cape Cod” for a family moving to the Palisades. Several construction related projects prior to move in, including built in cabinetry for home office. new kitchen island counter, lights in living, dining, kitchen, and stairs sourced and installed, wallpaper in two bedrooms. All furniture and decor were to reflect both the casual comfort of their new California take on a Cape Cod classic, and their own East Coast more traditional style. Design and product from Staged by CK (with the exception of the family room sectional which was homeowners).

Beverly Hills Residence
Mix of homeowner’s furnishings, filling in where needed after the owners consolidated furniture from several homes into one. Edited what didn’t fit, and purchased pieces that were found needing. Elegant, eclectic, worldly style - like the elegant homeowner herself.
